3rd CONVERSATION WITH AN UMMITE - Luis Jiménez Marhuenda, 31 March 1987, from 18:00 to 20:21, duration 2 h 21'
Ummo - (After calling me by my name several times) We are waiting for a text from several of your brothers...
Luis Jiménez Marhuenda - I know; we are going to meet to prepare it.
U. - We know you have a lot of work and we do not want to press you hastily.
(After I tell him we would make every effort to do it as soon as possible, the communication is cut off and restored a few minutes later)
U. - I cut off because I feared interference from agents.
L. - Do you not use the normal telephone line?
U. - We make a tap.
L. - May I ask you questions?
U. - Yes.
L. - What do you think of the Virgin Mary?
U. - She was an exceptional woman for her gifts and her purity. And also for her simplicity. We greatly admire her simplicity. The fact that WOA chose her is the proof that she is an exceptional woman. THE CHOICE WAS NOT MADE AT RANDOM. In the same way, we have not chosen you at random either. That implies a series of questions.
L. - What do you think of the cult of the Virgin Mary?
U. - It must not be greater than that of God. Some people place it above the worship of the Divinity, and that is very serious. It must be a respectful cult and serve as a way of access to the worship of God. In that way it is good. But, please, no one is above God. God is above everything. Love for Mary must be like a bridge to love for God.
L. - And miracles and apparitions?
U. - They always occur in a state of mystical exaltation. We have studied the case of Garabandal, which is an imposture. It is a phenomenon of mystical exaltation, which produces the phenomena you call parapsychological. There are MANY PARAPSYCHOLOGICAL PHENOMENA which, if you study them, always turn out to be the consequence of a psychic (or mystical?) exaltation.
(Rafael Farriols - But there are OTHERS whose origin and promotion come from another field of knowledge. - Forgive the interruption.)
L. - And psychophonies?
U. - They are produced by electromagnetic radiations.
(R.F. - No, mechanical ones...)
(Before going into this technical explanation, I remember other details from the earlier conversation and, as this transcription is being made immediately at the end of the conversation, it is not structured as it should be; allow me to insert these paragraphs, which belong to the beginning of the conversation.)
L. - (I am referring to the little letter with our drawings.) We are making every effort to prepare it soon, when we meet to do it.
U. - We are very grateful to you.
L. - It is we who are your grateful debtors.
U. - I wish to place my hand upon your chest, as a symbolic gesture.
L. - I understand the gesture and thank you infinitely. It is a gesture that is not among our customs, but as I know it I am enormously grateful for it.
U. - You have a slight illness these days.
L. - Yes, that is true. I am almost cured.
U. - It is a minor ailment which we detect from the tone of your voice.
L. - Since you have guessed it...
U. - It is not a matter of guessing. We have an apparatus that analyses and detects every kind of ailment, even psychic or psychosomatic (perhaps you say: psychophysiological).
L. - Can you analyse it? From the voice?
U. - Yes. You have an ailment, but of little importance. You are surely getting over a flu that began on Sunday the 29th; so on 31 March it still affects the body, though very much attenuated.
L. - Listen, on Sunday the 22nd I was talking with one of your brothers and did not have the chance to ask his name... (See H2 for the transcription of that conversation. Note by ummo-sciences.)
U. - We prefer not to say our name, because some agents know our names; that is why we prefer not to give them.
L. - Fine, but it was simply out of courtesy that I would have liked to do so. (Here I began to ask him about the subject of the Virgin)
U. - (Referring to the Virgin Mary) For us intellectual simplicity is a GIFT. (I now put down the fragments I retained, although I cannot repeat what he told me, because he never stopped talking and I lost part of his words) You sometimes ask yourselves why we chose you... That choice was not made at random. Honouring the Virgin Mary, the mother of Jesus Christ, is good, but you must never raise the cult, as some do, to idolatry. Adoration must be reserved for GOD. By honouring GOD we honour that woman and we honour her son. But above all, GOD.
L. - But the fact of feeling love for the Virgin Mary...? (Here he gave a long answer that I have forgotten, except the reference to the fact that every feeling of love is good, and I think he said it was clear in the report on the Collective Soul. He must have ended with some praise of me of which I retained only the word THANK YOU.)
L. - But Mary's body, is it like that of Jesus Christ?
U. - We do not know where it is. We have not been able to verify the dogma of the Assumption, because it has no scientific confirmation.
L. - Have you studied the apparitions of the Virgin Mary at Lourdes, Fátima, etc.?
U. - Very little. (See page 1 here, where he says they occur under conditions of «mystical suggestion») In that case parapsychological, psi-phenomenal phenomena occur. (Here the explanation of the parapsychological phenomenon with its aetiology of «mystical suggestion»).
L. - Then the parapsychological phenomenon occurs on our planet?
U. - Yes, but you may be conditioned by mystical suggestions, whereas OTHERS HAVE A SCIENTIFIC EXPLANATION which you do not know today, although one day your science will be able to explain it.
L. - For example, psychophonies...
U. - They are a PHYSICAL phenomenon, because the recording apparatus can, under certain conditions, become a receiver. (Here he gives me a series of technical explanations which I was taking down somewhat incoherently. He also says something like...) An inductance, a coil, connected to a capacitor, form an oscillating circuit capable of receiving the electromagnetic waves of a transmitter. In the transmitter you make, under certain conditions, a resonance occurs in the oscillating circuit. If another oscillating circuit has the same characteristics... that is, the inductance has the same number of millihenries and the capacitance the same number of farads or, combining both, the inductance and the capacitance have the same characteristics... under those conditions the transmission and reception of electromagnetic frequencies is possible, because the two circuits are in resonance.
In a tape recorder, resonance effects sometimes occur with an electromagnetic emission whose frequency is picked up. Although the tape recorder was not designed to pick up electromagnetic waves, it is nevertheless capable of picking them up. It is under those conditions that the psychophony is received. Have you understood?
L. - Well, I understand your words... the technical side, no. But people like Juan Domínguez understand it perfectly.
U. - (I think he says he will send it in writing) An element capable of emitting electromagnetic waves can also emit a PSYCHOPHONY... and be picked up by a tape recorder... The «majority» of psychophonies are picked up through electromagnetic oscillations.
(R.F. - But others are not. Through a microphone only sounds of mechanical origin can be picked up. Many psychophonies are picked up with no microphone connected to the tape recorder. But, moreover, the UMMITES' broad explanation, referring to pick-up through magnetic waves, is not valid and makes not the slightest mention of the other option: the pick-up of mechanically transmitted vibrations recorded by the microphone. This leads one to suspect that a minority of psychophonies come from another scientific origin that today we cannot explain.)
L. - I think the problem of psychophonies remains to be clarified. (Here I ask him about a work done by a friend of mine and based on the UMMO reports, and he tells me he did not know that gentleman, but asks me his name and is interested in studying it. It is a series of speculations based on information of a scientific kind. That man has had no schooling, but his mind is very incisive and, although they are written crudely and with spelling mistakes, his speculations seem to me interesting and at least curious.)
U. - We would like to have that work to study it.
L. - How can we arrange to hand it over to you, that and other works some of us may produce and that we would like you to know?
U. - You can give it to Jorge Barrenechea. He will receive a visit from a person who will collect it. You may add that he will receive further instructions for handing it to us.
L. - May I write some account of the conversation you had with Father López Guerrero... who disagrees with you?
U. - We are very sorry about it.
L. - I can imagine. It affects me a great deal too.
U. - What does the disagreement consist of?
L. - That he believes the last mailing and the last two letters are false, because they are in great disagreement with Catholic principles.
U. - That is natural. (Here he gives an explanation regretting López Guerrero's disagreement and says something like this:) It is regrettable that a good and intelligent man does not have an open mind towards the possible errors the Catholic Church may have committed, which, being composed of human beings, is liable to make mistakes. It is a danger that may lead him to fanaticism. When sincere beliefs become fanatical, they begin to do harm. But we understand his attitude, because he must be true to himself and to his conscience and act according to what he believes right. It is a pity, because he is a good and honest person, but his mind is not open to other possibilities that could enrich his spirit before the idea of a more cosmic GOD, very powerful and at the same time very good. You must not censure him, because he is sincere and true to himself, but it would be good for him to reconsider his position and avoid fanaticism.
U. - Are there other points of disagreement?
L. - Yes. But I would rather he put them to me in writing. I do not believe I am capable of arguing with him on theological subjects. Yesterday he explained his point of view to me, but as I did not understand all of it, because I do not think my intelligence is great enough to penetrate those depths... I told him it would be better if he wrote me a letter of explanation. He also agreed that the letter you sent after the meetings we held in your honour, here at the Hotel Babieca, was authentic.
U. - It was authentic.
L. - Yes. It is known that two of your brothers were there, at that congress...
U. - Exactly. We said so in that letter.
L. - I must have seen them, but I could not recognise them...
U. - I was not one of them. But they were there.
L. - I made every effort to keep what I promised on television: not to reveal your identity if we had recognised you.
U. - Tell your brother Rafael Farriols that he may speak of our messages concerning the last letters in the course of lectures. But he must not publish them in books or articles. He may speak of them verbally in a lecture.
L. - And could I tomorrow, in the course of my talk in the rooms on the third floor or in one of those...?
U. - You may do so. At those discreet nuclear levels, it matters little who says it.
L. - I have a dilemma with J. J. Benítez and Antonio Ribera, because the Planeta magazine intends to publish all your reports...
U. - It must not do so. You must prevent it, because you are the depositaries of those reports. We have no legal personality, we are not subjects of law. The only subjects of law are you, the OWNERS of the reports. The letters that reached Jorge Barrenechea, Juan Aguirre, Juan Domínguez, Rafael Farriols and yourself, etc., are your property, and no one, without your authorisation, has the right to publish them. It would be a dispossession, and that could lead us to send you no more reports. It would be like breaking off contact for ever.
L. - Well, I can try to prevent it, but I have a problem of conscience with Antonio Ribera, because Ribera has an agreement with the Planeta magazine... and as he owes Planeta six books... Planeta says that, if he cancels them, then it will publish. What solution do you suggest to me for this?
U. - We are very fond of your brother Antonio Ribera. But he must prevent them from being published. If those letters are published, we will cease all contact with you definitively. (Here the line is cut; on coming back, he says:) I am very sorry to have had to cut off abruptly; I do so when I see a risk of being detected.
L. - Are you really calling me from Madrid?
U. - Yes.
L. - But you do not use the normal telephone line?
U. - We have a tap.
L. - May I ask you more questions?
U. - Ask them, but beware of the possibility that I may have to cut off the communication if I observe any danger. Do not take it as rudeness if at some moment I am forced to cut off without saying goodbye. It is a precautionary measure that has already cut off the communication twice in the course of this conversation. But do not take it as rudeness.
L. - Do not worry. I know you are incapable of rudeness.
U. - Sometimes we must cut off the communication if we detect a risk of being discovered.
L. - We have often asked you about the other extraterrestrial races that visit us. Are there really other races?
U. - Yes.
L. - And how can we know whether those races are genuine or an imposture?
U. - We know, but you do not.
L. - And the Bermuda triangle? Have you studied it?
U. - It is a matter of magnetic disturbances. In that zone very strong electromagnetic tornadoes occur which cause alterations in gyroscopic equipment. Aircraft have electromagnetic devices called gyroscopes that can be altered by strong electromagnetic storms. (Perhaps it has not been transcribed with absolute fidelity, but as closely as possible)
L. - Then there is nothing extraordinary about it.
U. - Yes, there is something.
L. - Is there something that is not of this planet?
U. - Yes. But I cannot explain it to you. (Here I think he told me they would explain it in a report, but, believe it or not, I do not remember. I think so, because my words were:)
L. - It will be very interesting for us. Thank you very much. (Here there is a brief tangential comment meant only for Juan Domínguez. It is not important, but it is very personal)
Listen... And the missing pages of that report, which we will send you through that...? (He does not let me finish. He knew what I was referring to.)
U. - Those pages were censored.
L. - Can we not have them?
U. - Letters are the property of whoever has received them. And if that person, for personal reasons, wishes to censor them, we cannot prevent it. (Here he makes tragic forecasts to me about relations with other countries, but, to tell the truth, I only remember having said:)
L. - Let us hope none of that happens...
U. - We cannot intervene. We have no personality on this planet. We are the equivalent of an insect, with its effects.
L. - It grieves me very much that you make that comparison.
U. - It is not pejorative. Jesus Christ himself, if he lived today, would have no legal personality; officially he would not exist, he would not be a subject of law.
L. - Many have asked me whether the theory of reincarnation was admissible...
U. - Yes and no.
L. - Why?
U. - The new soul that is born can be impregnated... can receive information coming from the collective Soul. In that sense, the information it receives comes from the other souls. In that sense, yes, reincarnation would be admissible. That, in some way, is in it information from the Collective Soul. It is very important information, very important. We have only sent that information to you and to Australia. We have not sent other information of that importance anywhere else on the planet.
L. - Listen, I would send copies of your letters to some people who I think should receive them... and among them to Antonio Albaladejo, of Murcia. You know him, don't you? In a certain report you say you will send him a letter...
U. - Tell your brother Antonio Albaladejo not to think that not having received a letter means his image has been erased from our brain. He is a very good man. He is very interested in us. You may send it to him, but not Mr Farriols Calvo's letter.
L. - No, I know it is confidential... Listen, to conclude, everything I know from your information that I believe beneficial for my brothers on this planet... Is there any objection to my disseminating it in the way I think most appropriate?
U. - You may do so in the course of lectures. Do not do it in writing. And on the radio, do it very carefully. You know what you can do and what you can say. You have good judgement; you know what you must say and how to say it. It is you who must do it.
L. - Yes, but I am asking for advice.
U. - You know what you must do. We have confidence in you.
L. - Moreover, I believe there is a symbiosis between you and us. If you advise me not to do something, it is for my own good. (That is why, I tell him, I must say something regarding the freedom I may have without being subject to your orders, or something of the kind). So there is no objection to my following your indications.
U. - Do so only if we indicate to you why it is harmful for you.
L. - (Allow me a digression here. I do not believe there is telepathy between this gentleman and me, but it is as if in some way I had received the indication that it was good to spread their ideas, their philosophy, their ethics and their teaching, without making too much use of the extraterrestrial anecdote. Perhaps, on disseminating it, the potential recipients will be sceptical not only about the ideas but also about their authenticity, their extraterrestrial origin and perhaps even our mental health. So, pass on the message, yes, but be very discreet about its origin.)
May I ask you about macrobiotics? Do you know that system of nutrition?
U. - Yes, but one must be careful if following a macrobiotic diet. Extreme care is needed. It depends on the metabolism of each subject. For some it may be optimal and for others not. The same happens with other therapeutic methods, even with medicines themselves. You know that antibiotics do much good, but there are people allergic to antibiotics.
The problem of medicine on your planet is that you think you are obliged to generalise. But each individual has his own metabolism and is therefore a singularity as regards the methods that must be applied to him. We individualise each case. You do not make specificities and you generalise. It cannot be done in one single way, but in multiple ways; what is good for many may be harmful for some. The greatest error of medicine is applying universal models. You should develop a system of specificities. You have cases like homeopathy, which in many cases gives good results and in others is harmful.
In the case of macrobiotics you must be very prudent with the foods chosen. It will still be 150 years before you acquire the precise knowledge needed to obtain a specific system for each person. Expect a new type of COMPUTER which will not be based on present computers or follow the principles of present computer systems. And that you will then be able to design a reaction system for each human being.
